The elephant is a petite bird
It flies from bough to bough
Nests in a tall sturdy gum tree
And moos like an old cow.
Mary had a little lamb
You've heard it all before
But did ya know that
Mary passed her dinner plate
And had a tiny bit more.
I eat my peas with honey
I've done it all my life
It makes the peas
Taste kinda funny
But it keeps 'em
on the knife.

The last one I remember from primary school :)
Great stuff!
I liked the one about Mary's lamb the best.
Polly put the kettle on,
And strangely enough it fitted her.
Ha Ha @ Elephant's Child.
I remember that last one, it was in a blank recipe notebook I bought years ago. There were lines to write your recipe on and a food related image and quote at the bottom of every page. I filled it with best loved family recipes and my kids have it now.
All of them tops Windsmoke, excellent selection.
G' Day CLOUDIA & GRACE: I'm glad you liked 'em.
G' Day KATH: Primary school is a bit of a blur for me.
G' Day BEACH BUM: I have plenty more about May's Lamb some where.
G' Day THE ELEPHANTS CHILD: That is a good one indeed.
G' Day RIVER: I hope your kids look after your recipe notebook and pass it onto their kids.

G' Day ANNMARIE: Certainly is fun.
G' Day LYNN: Its certainly a novel way to get kids to eat their peas.
