Great imagery!
Hi Windsmoke,Very nice.We have a very light shower of rain this morning and the birds are loving it. I can hear a heap of different birds all singing away as I'm typing. :)
Lovely image heere, Windsmoke. I enjoy haiku for the sense it offers my imagination. I see this in an instant.
And don't they love their baths. Thanks Windsmoke.
I can picture this, a quiet mountain side, a lake, the bird dipping and splashing. I need to put a birdbath where I can see it from my window.
I learn new words I can never slip into a conversation. But, I'm glad to have them.
G' Day BEACH: Glad you got the intended image :-).G' Day MAGS: We had a downpour this morning about 7am, i think all the birds were hiding until it stopped, sadly i didn't hear any singing :-).G' Day ELISABETH: Haiku does stimulate the imagination :-).G' Day THE ELEPHANTS CHILD: Yep, they certainly do enjoy a bath :-).G' Day RIVER: A birdbath is a good idea just think of all the photos you can take of the birds that visit and post 'em on Sunday Selections :-).G' Day JOANNE: I reckon learning new words is Bonza :-).
Very evocative. Up there with your best.
G' Day DAVE: Thanks for saying so its much appreciated :-).
I've always enjoyed your haikus and this one is no exception.
Soooooooo good Windsmoke! I got a really lovely image from these words.
G' Day LIFE RAMBLINGS: Thanks for saying so its much appreciated :-).G' Day PERTH: I'm chuffed you liked the image :-).
I love lying in bed and listening to the birdsong in the early morning.Your poem evokes that experience so vividly.Love it :)
'Tarn' is such an underused word - maybe because not many could use it as well as this!!
G' Day YGRAINE: I mainly get birdsong just as the sunsets when all the birds are looking to settle down somewhere for the night :-).G' Day RED: Its a tricky word to use in any type of writing :-).
