Sprawling fields of grass.
Tumbledown stately Mansions.
Girdled by forests.

And while the mansion may have fallen down, I bet the chimmneys are still standing.

Great imagery, and I have seen exactly what Elephant's Child has mentioned.

Down on the coast is a mansion in ruins with the chimmney still standing.
